SEASON II · CHAPTER 6
ARCHIVED TRANSCRIPT
The click of the lock, a cold metallic sound
The four walls I knew, they no longer surround
I'm standing here where the wind starts to blow
And the hallway is longer than I'll ever know
One step feels like a mountain peak
Two steps, and the silence starts to speak
Outside the room, the world is way too wide
Nowhere to run and nowhere left to hide
No more ceilings, no more familiar floors
Just the echo of closing all the doors
Outside the room, I'm a stranger to the street
Cold asphalt biting at my tired feet
Freedom is a heavy thing to hold alone
Walking into the dark, into the unknown
Dust on the frames of the pictures
I left A house full of ghosts, of a love that's bereft
I'm carrying memories in my jacket sleeve
It's harder than I thought it'd be to leave
Don't look back, don't you dare turn around
The past is just shadows on the ground
It's freezing out here
But I'm moving
