SEASON IV · CHAPTER 20
ARCHIVED TRANSCRIPT
Still breathing
My footsteps echo
Down the hallway walls
Same broken ceiling
Same fluorescent glow
But something in my chest
Won't stay quiet now
Like a signal underneath me
Pushing through the ground
Every second
Feels heavier
Every silence
Starts to pull
There's an iron heartbeat
Moving through my ribs
Slow but steady
Like it never really left
And every quiet room
Starts shaking when it hits
Like something deep inside me
Is waking up again
I used to disappear
Into the static air
Let the nights swallow me
Without fighting back
But now the walls feel thinner
The shadows less complete
And every breath I take
Pushes harder underneath
No more hiding
Inside the stillness
No more folding
Into myself
Under every thought
Cold and restless
Like a fire without smoke
And every empty space
Starts ringing when it moves
Like the silence finally knows
I'm not disappearing too
Maybe all this time
It was buried underneath
Every quiet morning
Every sleepless memory
Waiting for the pressure
To finally break through
Breaking through the dust
Every frozen moment
Starting to erupt
And all the rooms I used to fear
Don't feel the same tonight
Something inside me
Finally wants to fight
Still beating
